TEST FORMAT
The
test will consist of three sections. Section A will include a very general
question for you to answer in ESSAY form. This question will be very broad and
probably about a topic we have discussed throughout several classes.
Section
B will consist of three questions about the readings. You will need to answer
these questions in no more than a sentence each. These questions will test your
understanding of the journal articles and book. Normally, none of these
questions are in the test bank.
Section
C will include two to four questions for you to answer only one in essay form.
Most questions in this section will come from the test bank.
The
following paragraph or a very similar one will appear at the beginning of the
test. Make sure that you understand it. If you have any doubts, please ask me
in class or come to my office hours.
“Answer
the questions according to the requirements discussed in class. Unless
specifically mentioned otherwise, you need to relate your answers to the
activities, issues, and topics discussed in class. Discuss every problem that
is fairly raised by the question. The value for the question in section A is 4
points, 1 point for each question in section B, and 3 points for the question
in section C. In every answer make a personal appraisal of the issue discussed.
For your personal appraisal, you must use strategies similar to those discussed
for Level 5 in John Biggs’ taxonomy. You have 60 minutes to complete the test.
If you need any clarification during the test, please raise your hand and I
will be glad to discuss it with you.”
